Jesus came into our midst with signs & wonders

The early church didn't meet at religious buildings. After leaving prison, Peter turned up at Mary's house where people were #praying together (Acts 12:12) while Paul and Silas met up with the church at Lydia's house (Acts 16:40). Paul also preached in Priscilla and Aquila's house (Rom 16:5), preached in Nympha's house (Col 4:15) and met the #church gathered at Philemon's house (Phile 1:2). The word #church that we use today was translated from the Greek word #ekklesia, meaning an assembly or congregation. Over time, 'church' is now more commonly used to mean a building or a place and not to its actual meaning, a congregation of people. God doesn't call us to go to church but to be a church; to assemble as a body of believers and followers in #Christ. Church doesn't have to be the place we go to on a Sunday, church is really when we the believers and followers come together. As long as two or three are gathered together, #Jesus promises to be with us (Mat 18:20). We gather together to comfort each other (1 Thess 5:10) and to edify each other (1 Cor 14:12). God also gave all of us gifts to establish ourselves (Rom 1:11, 11:29) and to build up the body of Christ (1 Cor 12:12-31). We gather together to be unified in the faith and knowledge of Christ and to be as full of Christ or to be like Jesus as much possible (Eph 4:11-13) Now, Jesus says that when we follow Him and believe, the works that He does in our midst will bear witness to Him being real and the Son of God (John 10:25-27); that in His name, shall demons be cast out and by the laying of hands will the sick be healed (Mark 16:17-18). When Jesus is in our midst, the Lord will work with us and confirm the word through accompanying signs (Mark 16:20). In this home gathering, believers and followers experienced healing and deliverance or received an impartation. In this time of #lockdowns and restrictions, the place of the church being closed matters not. What matters is that we still continue to gather, in whatever sized-groups permitted in your country to encourage and edify each other as believers and followers in Christ to exercise our gifts and callings to build up the body of Christ.

GOD HEALS DEAFNESS BY PROPHETIC ACTION

This lady came forward for prayer for her hearing. When Kevin starts praying for her, the unclean spirits within her starts to manifest as her hands shake almost uncontrollably. In the spirit, Kevin saw corks stuck in her ears, stopping her from hearing. He pulled the corks out prophetically and her hands stop shaking. Kevin knew that the corks were out and so he then clicked his fingers to test her hearing. Almost immediately, she realises that she is now able to hear! #PraiseGod ! #GlorytoGod ! What Kevin did, lead by the #HolySpirit, was to carry out a prophetic action. A prophetic action is a seemingly senseless but symbolic movement that brings forth an outcome that corresponds with the movement. Pulling out the corks in the spirit symbolically unplugged her ears, enabling her to hear in reality. When Elisha told the King of Israel to shoot an arrow out of the window, the act of shooting the arrow served no actual purpose but it prophesied symbolically that the King of Israel would conquer Syria in Aphek (2 Kings 13:17). When #Jesus saw the man blind from birth, he made clay with his spit and pasted it on the man’s eyes (John 9:6). He then told the blind man to go wash his eyes. When he did, he was able to see! The water that washed the eyes did not contain any special powers, it was what the #prophetic actions represented and manifested in reality that enabled his sight to be restored. When Moses parted the red sea, he was told to lift up the rod that God gave him and make like he was dividing the sea with the rod (Exodus 14:16). This caused the sea to part. Imagine how silly and comical Moses must have looked waving a rod in the air to make a parting motion! This is where God uses the foolish to confound the wise (1 #Corinthians 1:27) and where child-like faith and humility comes in (Mark 10:15). Unless we are willing to be as children who believe easily, we will struggle to enter and experience the kingdom of God. Jesus said ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent and believe the gospel’ (Mark 1:15)

FIRST STEPS TO GOD HEALING OSTEOARTHRITIS

This lady first turned up to the FGB Damansara Utama meeting and asked for prayer for her Osteoarthritis. She hobbled in with a walking stick and after prayer, she walked out without needing to use her stick, completely straightened and healed, amen! About a week later, she turned up to the meeting held at CKRM, PJ, hobbling in with her walking stick again because the Osteoarthritis had returned! She asked for prayer again and after prayer, she straightened up and became healed once again, hallelujah. A week later, I was very surprised when she turned up yet again, to the meeting held at Cornerstone International Church, PJ. She said that the Osteoarthritis had returned again, causing her more discomfort. To my amazement she publicly shared that during these few weeks of her healing and relapsing, the Lord had shown her that a particular sin in her life had been causing the sickness to return! She openly shared with the congregation that she had now dealt with the sin and is expecting a 'complete' healing for God! John.5:14 “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.” And so after humbly repenting and addressing the issue, she came a third time. It was a most difficult place to get to for her, as she couldn't find the lift and had to struggle to climb three flights of stairs to get to the meeting, but by the grace and mercy of God as He completely healed her, praise God. And she also retained her healing as she had transformed her lifestyle, amen.
