THE DOCTRINE OF JESUS CHRIST

When Jesus taught at the synagogue in Capernaum, a man had an unclean spirit that knew who #Jesus was and spoke. Jesus silenced the unclean spirit and commanded it to leave the man. The man convulsed, meaning he went into an involuntary motion before the unclean spirit cried out as it left his body. Everyone at the synagogue was amazed to witness not only an unclean spirit acknowledging Jesus but also Jesus commanding it to leave the man’s body and it did! People in those days knew and believed in unclean spirits. What was astonishing to them was not that there was an unclean spirit within the man but that Jesus had such authority, the unclean spirit obeyed Him! This was a new #doctrine to them! Today, many have difficulty believing in unclean spirits dwelling in our bodies causing us pains and troubles. Yet many can believe in the unseen spiritual powers of dead objects like talismans, idols or superstitious rituals. They believe in ghosts, visits from dead relatives or in mediums who communicate with spirits. Some also believe spiritual beings guard over them or give them guidance. Jesus said those #disciples who believe in Him will #castoutdemons and #healthesick in His name. He said many struggle to believe because of the hardness of their hearts (Mark 16:14-18) #PraiseGod these followers believe in Jesus’ words and the power and authority He has given to us to command unclean spirits to depart as we wrestle against spiritual powers (Eph 6:12). Many were relieved from their pains and troubles and experienced the joy of the Lord! #Hallelujah! #Mark 1:23-27 (#NKJV) 23 Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, 24 saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are - the Holy One of God!” 25 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” 26 And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him. 27 Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.”
